This conversation is a collaboration between Urban Specialists and Dr. Joseph Richardson, bringing together national expertise and local experience to address the ongoing gun violence crisis. Moderated by Antong Lucky the President of Urban Specialists a nonprofit organization dedicated to disrupting trends of violence and poverty in urban communities and also a national expert around solutions to gun violence and community violence intervention, the dialogue will explore the national gun violence pandemic through the lens of Dr. Richardson's groundbreaking research and real-world application. Together, they'll examine how cities like Dallas are being impacted, while also highlighting proven solutions and the community-driven strategies currently being implemented both locally and nationally. From a public safety perspective, this conversation will focus on intervention, healing, and prevention, offering insight into innovative efforts that aim to uplift and protect communities disproportionately affected by gun violence.
